According to reports, Manchester United are set to sell midfielder Marouane Fellani to Turkish champions Besiktas in January.
Although the Belgian international is highly-rated by manager Jose Mourinho, the 29-year old is out of contract at the end of the season, and the £8m on offer by Besiktas represents good value for a player who can leave for free under on a “Bosman” in six months’ time.
With the Old Trafford hierarchy apparently telling Mourinho that he must sell before he can buy, Fellani may not be the only player set for the United departure lounge, with Luke Shaw also apparently told he can leave if the right offer comes in for him.
The money from their sale could fund transfer bids for a number of players, with RB Leipzig’s Emil Forsberg and Shaktar Donetsk’s Fred among the players reported to be on Mourinho’s shopping list.
