According to reports emanating from Spain, midfielder Andreas Pereira’s loan move to Valencia could be cut short in January, with the player in line for a recall to his parent club Manchester United.
The 21-year old playmaker impressed whilst on loan to Granada last season, and had a fruitful pre-season with United, featuring prominently in their victories against the likes of Manchester City and Real Madrid.
With Jose Mourinho set to be an admirer of the young Spaniard, Pereira was expected to remain in Manchester, but amidst fears that he would not get much game time, he went against the wishes of his manager and opted for another loan move instead.
With Valencia flying high in La Liga – they are currently second in the table only to Barcelona – Pereira’s performances have caught the eye, and, allegedly, United’s officials have informed the player that he could be set for a return to Manchester, as United try to hunt down their rivals City in the title race.
