According to the French media, PSG are planning to steal Liverpool’s Philippe Countinho from under the noses of Barcelona, having made the Brazilian their number one transfer target next summer, with Telefoot reporting a meeting in London last week between PSG’s Sporting Director, Antero Henrique, and the player’s agent, Kia Joorabahlan.
This will alarm Barcelona who made three unsuccessful bids to sign the player in the summer, and who are widely expected to make a fresh offer for Countinho when the January transfer window opens.
However, now it appears that PSG may try and hijack the deal, using Countinho’s friendship with his Brazilian international teammate, Neymar, to lure him to Paris instead.
For Liverpool supporters more bad news, however, as their chances of hanging on to the services of the star playmaker appear increasingly slim.
