Jose Arnaiz appears to be a man in demand with the Spanish media reporting that Arsenal, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are amongst a host of clubs interested in signing the young Barcelona forward.
The 22 year-old only joined Barcelona from Valladolid in the summer in a £1.5 million deal, and has mainly played for their B team, but made an impressive first-team debut last week in the Spanish cup, and scored a fine goal in the 3 -0 victory over Murcia.
His stay at the Nou Camp may turn out to be a short one. Barcelona are desperate to reduce their wage bill in order to fund more marquee signings, and, with Arnaiz’s contract including a £20 million release clause, may be willing to let Arnaiz go. Arsenal consider Arnaiz as a possible replacement for Alexis Sanchez, whilst Manchester United are preparing for life after Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Meanwhile Bayern are seeking an alternative to Franck Ribery, who is now 34 years old, and suffering from a knee ligament injury.
