Barcelona are said to be closely tracking Liverpool’s teenage striker Ben Woodman.
The young forward became the youngest player to score for Liverpool when he netted in the EFL Cup against Leeds last season, and recently burst on to the international stage with a goal and assist for Wales against Austria at Cardiff in September.
Now Don Ballon reports that Barcelona, who, apparently, have had Woodburn on their radar since he was 12 years old, may be set to make a move for the young player.
Liverpool rates the young forward highly, and want to offer him a new deal. However, Woodburn has only played 45 minutes of first-team football this season, and did not even make the squad that travelled to Maribor in the Champions League this week. With Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke all ahead of him in the queue at Anfield, a move to Barcelona and the opportunity to get more game time may tempt him.
