Not content with world record bids for Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, PSG reportedly want to push the boat out further by signing Chelsea N’Golo Kante.
The Frenchman, who became the first player after compatriot Eric Cantona, to win back-to-back Premier League titles with two different clubs is now wanted by PSG next summer to boost their midfield options, with Thiago Motta expected to leave the Parisian club and Marco Verrati wanted by Barcelona.
Kante will not come cheap. The player, who faces a short spell on the sidelines after getting injured on international duty, cost Chelsea £30 million when they signed him from Leicester City at the start of last season, and has a contract at Stamford Bridge until 2021. However, with a bid from PSG set to be around the £90 million mark, Chelsea could realise a massive profit on a player who left France for England for only £5.6 million when Leicester signed him from Caen in 2015.
