Reports have come out of both Italy and the United States that Arsenal and Inter Milan are set to do battle for the services of Paraguayan midfielder Miguel Almiron who currently plies his trade for Atlanta United in MLS. Almiron recently topped the poll for best player under 24 in the MLS.
With 9 goals and 13 assists already to his name this season, Almiron, who principally plays as an attacking midfielder, but who can also be deployed on either flank, has begun to excite interest in his progress in Europe, with both Arsenal and Inter said to be vying for his signature.
The 23-year old, who has 10 full international caps, is reported to be valued at around €15 – €20 million (£14 – £18 million), with Atlanta already resigned to the loss of their talented South American in the near future.
