Manchester United and Arsenal tracking young Aston Villa striker

manchester united transfer news

A clutch of scouts from Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton, as well as Brighton, Stoke and Swansea, were all at Burton Albion’s ground on Tuesday evening to watch their home match with Aston Villa.

The object of their attention was a 19 year-old Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis, an England youth international who has broken through into their first team this season. Originally drafted into their squad in the absence of the injured Jonathan Kodjia, Davis is now partnering the Ivorian international, and the two are quickly forging a dynamic attacking partnership.

Davis, who is noted for his pace, power and clever movement  has featured in seven of the team’s championship fixtures this season, and scored in two of their last three league games, including a powerful header on Tuesday night.

His current manager Steve Bruce is a big fan saying: “he is a big number nine – one you associate with Aston Villa”, before cautioning “he’s only a young boy – we’ll have to look after him”.
