Metro reports that Manchester City may be set to lose out to PSG in their pursuit of Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean forward, who is in the last year of his contract with Arsenal, was all set to move to The Etihad on the last day of the transfer window, only for the deal to fall through at the last minute over the Gunners failure to sign a suitable replacement in time.
Now Sanchez, who has rejected a new deal at Arsenal and is free to talk to other clubs in January, is apparently set to be offered a £9 million signing-on fee if he signs a pre-contract agreement with the Paris club. According to El Mercurio in Chile, PSG hope that the existing close relationship that Sanchez has with Dani Alves from their time together at Barcelona will persuade him to choose France over Manchester.
It remains to be seen if City will make a counter offer.
