According to talkSport, Real Madrid’s rising young star, Marco Asensio, is in line for a new long-term mega-contract with the Spanish giants to fend off interest from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea.
The attacking midfielder only broke into the Real first team last season, but the 21-year-old, who scored from the bench in last season’s Champions League Final, is set to sign a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2023.
To make sure that no club will try and tempt him away from Santiago Bernabeu at some point in the future, it is reported that his new contract will include a £442 million (€500 million) buy-out clause, which is more than double the fee that Paris Saint-Germain paid for Neymar.
Not bad for a player who has played less than 30 games for Los Blancos and was signed for only £3.5 million from Mallorca three years ago.
