According to Norwegian TV channel MAX, Manchester United scouts were in attendance at Sarpborg’s home victory against Odd last night, keeping tabs on Krepin Diatta, an 18 year-old forward.
The Senegalese starlet, who has won three under-20 caps for his country, is only in his second season in Norway, but already he is attracting a lot of interest from major clubs around Europe.
This is not the first time that United have scouted Diatta. According to Metro back in the summer, the club have already spoken twice to the player’s agent, so their interest in him appears ongoing, although when, and if, they are going to place an offer for him is unclear.
Interviewed by TV 2 Sport after the Odd match, Diatta was suitably modest telling reporters that although it was a dream to play for Manchester United or one of the teams in the “big leagues”, for now he was committed to Sarpsborg and the future could take care of itself.
