Chelsea have agreed to sell the Brazilian born Spain international to Los Colchoneros for £60 million, with an additional £7 million as add-ons.

A group of fans greeted the attacker at the airport in Madrid. He will be registered as an Atletico  Madrid player in January after forcing his way out of Stamford Bridge. Despite the complications at the West London club, Costa maintains that he holds no grudge against anyone at Chelsea.

“I have no bitterness towards anybody. Everything is cool”, said Costa when asked about his relationship with the Blues’ manager Antonio Conte.

The 28-year-old had a very successful tenure with Atletico from 2010 to 2014, with a loan spell at Rayo Vallecano in between. He netted 64 goals in all competitions thereby earning love and respect of the fans and manager Diego Simeone.

His arrival will undoubtedly strengthen the already-stacked forward line of Atletico, and compete for position with top-class players such as Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres, Kevin Gameiro and Angel Correa.
