Tottenham eyeing January move for Turkish striker

According to talkSport, Tottenham are looking to add Turkish striker Cenk Tosun in their front line. Tosun has delivered some fine performances for Besiktas and he could be on his way to the North London club in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old attacker has great finishing skills and has had an impressive goalscoring record; he netted 20 times in 33 league games for the Turkish giants last season and has been responsible for two goals and an assist in the opening four matches of the season.

Spurs’ manager Mauricio Pochettino admires Tosun’s talent and is willing to offer a sum around €20 million in order to lure Besiktas into selling one of its most important players. Crystal Palace and Newcastle United were reportedly interested in the Turkish international in the summer.

Tosun, however, would face heavy competition for minutes if he were to arrive at White Hart Lane, as Harry Kane is the undisputable number 1 for the position with Heung-Min Son and Fernando Llorente as very accomplished alternatives at Spurs.
