After the arrival of high profile signings – Neymar and Kylian Mbappé, Julian Draxler has been reportedly listed as a dispensable piece in Unai Emery’s puzzle, according to 101 Great Goals.
Liverpool has been strongly linked with the 2014 World Cup winner, who has done quite well with the French giants since sealing his move from Schalke. The Reds have solid interest in the German midfielder and a January move could be on the cards as Jurgen Klopp hasn’t ruled out further transfer activity in the winter transfer window. The 18-time Premier League champions will face competition from Arsenal, another side whose desire to land the 24-year-old has been well documented.
Draxler will certainly have more playing time at Liverpool or Arsenal, as the Parisians have a number of options on the wings and in the central attacking position: Lucas Moura, Angel di Maria, Neymar, Mbappé, Giovanni lo Celso, Hatem ben Arfa and Javier Pastore are all vying for minutes in Ligue 1 and in the Champions League.
A player of Draxler’s caliber is believed to cost a minimum of €40 million, according to recent reports but after the record-breaking transfer of Neymar, the prices could be anywhere North of €100 million.
