Alexis Sanchez ‘desperate’ for a move back to Spain

Arsenal transfer news

According to Dario Gol, Arsenal winger Alexis Sanchez is reportedly ‘desperate’ for a move to the Spanish giants Real Madrid despite his four year history with their bitter rivals Barcelona.

The Chilean’s contract with the Gunners ends in the summer of 2018, and he will be free to choose his next destination. There is also a possibility that the London-based outfit sell him in the January transfer window to avoid losing him for free.

The 28-year-old’s next career destination could also be somewhere in England, but a move to Real Madrid is more likely to materialize with his agent already in touch with the 11-time European champions. He has rejected all of Arsenal’s advances to renew his contract and nearly had put pen to paper with Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City, but the move fell through as the Gunners couldn’t sign a suitable replacement. The North Londoners pursued Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez last month but it was all in vain.

Sanchez would approve a move to Zinedine Zidane’s team, but the final say will belong to Los Blancos president Florentino Perez.
